Strengths-based dyadic program. The Program will be commenced with a strength-based assessment for the care dyads and the assessment data will be sued to develop a strength-based biographies for the care dyads.
The educative-counseling program will contain four center-based interactive educative-counseling sessions for the persons with mild cognitive impairment, and two home-based session for the care dyads, focusing on the following the core topics for the dyads, . The four core topics include:
a) effective dyadic communication,
b) managing memory loss and the associated problems,
c) ways to stay active even with cognitive impairment or caregiving responsibilities;
d) recognizing and managing maladaptive emotions and behaviors in coping with the disease or caregiving.

7 in-person sessions over the 1st - 8th week and 3 telephone follow-up in the 9th - 14th week
The control intervention will include the usual care as provided by the Neighborhood Elderly Centre (NEC) or District Elderly Community Centre (DECC) under the operation of the Tung Wah Hospital.

People with a confirmed diagnosis of MCI according to the criteria by the Consortium on Alzheimer's Disease Working Group
Able to communicate with the intervention specialist and research assistants
No pre-existing acute psychotic disease
